Winter League General Information
Winter League Division Options
** Divisions have been broken down according to last years teams stats, as teams add and drop your team will move up or down a level**
Gold 1 and Gold 2 Division: Team is comprised primarily (75%) of Elite level players with some intermediate level players. Slap shots allowed, no checking.
Silver 1 , Silver 2 and Silver 3 Division: 75% of the Team is comprised of intermediate to advance level players. Slap shots allowed, no checking
Bronze 1 and Bronze 2 Division: Team is comprised primarily of less experienced recreational level players. Team members may have played some organized youth hockey . Slap shots allowed, no checking. No Gold level players in this division ( Per Captain Counsel)
True Novice/Beginners Division: For True Beginner Players, No Ringers
Adult Beginner Clinics- For Beginners/Players Fairly New to the Game to increase their Skills and Knowledge of the Game In Hopes they will Join/Form a New Novice Team in the Novice Division.
10 weeks long $20 Per sessions
Old Salt ( 50+): All players must be 50 or have a birthday that falls between January 01, 2009- December 31, 2009
Really Old Salt (60+): All players must be 60 or have a birthday that falls between January 01, 2009- December 31, 2009
Women's Division: For women who are currently active in hockey or who are interested in getting into the game. Full range of talent levels. Slap shots allowed, no checking. Individual registrations only - no teams accepted.
NOTE:
(1) A minimum of four (4) teams are required to form a division (NO EXCEPTIONS). If any division does not have four teams, the team(s) will be evaluated using the rating system and with an on ice evalution. If the team(s) evaluation does not fit within the evaluation standards for a lower division, the team has two options, Change the roster to fit former divison and play or the reservation fees will be refunded. Teams may NOT automatically drop down a division for the sole purpose of playing in the league. No inter-division games will be scheduled.
(2) Divisions may be further divided into tiers (Gold-1, Gold-2. etc.) to provide parity.
(3) The Adult Hockey League management reserves the right to move teams between divisions in order to provide parity between teams with respect to both individual and teams skills. Once the season has started up to 8 weeks into season.
(4) The Adult Hockey League Management reserves the right to remove an individual from a team roster if the individual's skill level is deemed incompatible with the standard level of play of any particular division.
Season information:
1.Team Cost- $7,900 (22 Games Guaranteed) 20 Regular season Games, 1 Game Seating Round for Playoffs and 1 Garanteed Single Elimination Playoff.
2. Total Payment/Payment Plan:
Players Payments/Full Team Fee due by September 27,2009
Team Locker Room must be set up by September 18, 2009
Your team must be registered by August 31, 2009
** - Failure to meet the reservation payment date will jeopardize your team's chances to participate in the Winter League.
**** -Failure to meet the complete payment date will result in forfeited games until the balance is paid.
***** No Team will be eligible to play until the full $7900 has been paid or, payment plan set up.
Refund Policy-Refunds will only be given for Medical Reasons. Refunds will be assessed on a Case to Case Basis and will require a note from a physician
3. Season Dates:
Practices: Team Practices can be arranged in the form of a PICK-UP Session, Cost will be $13 per person with a 10 Person Minimum.
Games start: Sunday, 9/26/2009
Playoffs begin: Mid March
Season ends: Beginning of April
Optional dates: (teams can play if they wish to)
Thanksgiving Christmas & NewYears:
Super Bowl Sunday games end by 6:00PM
League Benefits:

- All teams qualify for and play a single elimination playoff series through to the championship game.

- USA Hockey Membership required for all players (additional $35.00 per player-if not already a USA Hockey member) on team roster: provides insurance coverage for injuries during league play, subscription to USA Hockey official magazine, and opportunity to participate in USA Hockey-sponsored tournaments at all levels.
- Certified referees (from SHOA) for each game.
- Scorekeepers provided for each game.
- League Commissioner present at all league functions.
- Commemorative pucks for each member of the winning team in each division.
- Competitive, but fun play at all levels. A great way to improve your hockey skills.
- All-Star Game on TBD by Captain Council for Each Division
