CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL ADULT PLAYERS

USA Hockey's adult hockey membership has reached new heights as the program strives to grow the game at the adult level. Membership during the 2010-11 season reached 149,911, a 10.9% increase over the previous season. Congratulations to the players and operators in all 615 men's and women's leagues around the country on a huge accomplishment. The much anticipated top 25 list from the 2010-11 season is below.

 The Gardens Ice House Adult Hockey League (GIHAHL) is pleased to announce the launch of a mobile stats site and related iPhone app designed to deliver game scores in real-time to your mobile device, such as your iPhone, BlackBerry or Android.

Find your favorite team by surfing to http://www.pointstreak.com on a mobile phone, or by typing in the dedicated URL m.pointstreak.com into a mobile phone's web browser (iPhone or iPod Touch users can download a Pointstreak Mobile app for free from iTunes). Once there, you can search for the The Gardens Ice House Adult Hockey League (GIHAHL) or for your favorite team.

The The Gardens Ice House Adult Hockey League (GIHAHL)'s new mobile site and iPhone app is powered by our technology and statistics partner, Pointstreak Sports Technologies Inc. (http://www.pointstreak.com or http://www.pointstreaksolutions.com). Note: Pointstreak Mobile is now available for ALL of Pointstreak's hockey, baseball, lacrosse and soccer clients, including recreational and amateur leagues and teams.

The Gardens Ice House is a Non Checking Adult Hockey League. Even though it is a non checking adult league we highly recommend that ALL players wear complete hockey gear, including should pads.

Due to contact with the boards and incidental contact on ice , a number of  incidents have been  reported in each case the player was not wearing shoulder pads.  We  Highly recommend ALL players wear should pads.

Youth Hockey Coaches Wanted

 Ladies and gentlemen, we are looking for  coaches to help us with budding hockey players. We have spots available for our community program, The Fighting Falcons, and our travel program, The Tri-City Eagles. Besides providing a wonderful opportunity to give back to the game that continues to give each of us so much, it is also a great opportunity to make a big difference in many peoples lives- players and parents. For signing up we will provide vouchers for payment towards the fall/ winter TGIHAHL season as follows:

 Head Coach for the Fighting Falcons Community Program: $100.00

Assistant Coach for the Fighting Falcons Community Program: $50.00

 Head Coach for the Tri-City Eagles Travel Program: $200.00

Assistant Coach for the Tri-City Eagles Travel Program: $100.00

 All practices and home games are held at the Gardens Ice House.

 If you are interested please contact  Tom Hendrix (tomh@thegardensicehouse.com . Please include a brief hockey bio and suggest an age group that you would like to work. The season will shortly be underway and we are anxious to add to the great group of coaches that are already at work. The Eagles also provide a small amount of money for your participation.
