2008 Summer league

Summer League Options

Silver Division: Team is comprised primarily of intermediate to advance level players. Team members may have played no higher than the following levels: Junior B, Non-Varsity College (ACHA), Midget AAA, Prep Schools or Varsity High School. Slap shots allowed, no checking

Bronze Division: Team is comprised primarily of less experienced recreational level players. Team members may have played some organized youth hockey up to the Bantam level. Slap shots allowed, no checking.

Women's Division: For women who are currently active in hockey or who are interested in getting into the game. Full range of talent levels. Slap shots allowed, no checking. Individual registrations only - no teams accepted.

NOTE:
(1) A minimum of four (4) teams are required to form a division (NO EXCEPTIONS). If any division does not have four teams, the team(s) will be evaluated using the rating system. If the team(s) evaluation does not fit within the evaluation standards for a lower division, the team's reservation fees will be refunded. Teams may NOT automatically drop down a division for the sole purpose of playing in the league. No inter-division games will be scheduled.
(2) Divisions may be further divided into tiers (Gold-1, Gold-2. etc.) to provide parity.
(3) The Adult Hockey League management reserves the right to move teams between divisions in order to provide parity between teams with respect to both individual and teams skills.
(4) The Adult Hockey League Management reserves the right to remove an individual from a team roster if the individual's skill level is deemed incompatible with the standard level of play of any particular division.

Season information:

1. Team cost - $5,010.00
This pays for: 17 games (16 season games plus one single-elimination playoff game).

2. Payment Plan:
Reservation fee by Saturday, 3/1/2008 - at least $600.00**
Complete payment by Monday, 4/7/2008 - $5,010.00****

** - Failure to meet the reservation payment date will jeopardize your team's chances to participate in the Summer League.
**** - Failure to meet the complete payment date will result in a late fee added to your total registration due. The late fee will be 10% of the outstanding balance.

3. Season Dates:

Season Play: Monday, 4/21/2008 - Friday, 8/15/2008
Playoffs begin: Sunday, 8/17/2008
Season ends: Sunday, 9/7/2008

Blackout dates:
5/11/2008 - Mother's Day( you need to let us know if you are not available to play today)
5/25 - 26/2008 - Memorial Day Weekend
7/4/2008 - Independence Day/Mid-season Break

League Benefits:

  • 17 guaranteed games (16 game season plus at least one single-elimination playoff game)
  • All teams qualify for and play a single elimination playoff series through to the championship game.
  • Ability-specific division options.
  • Full team and player stats maintained.
  • USA Hockey Membership required for all players (additional $35.00 per player-if not already a USA Hockey member) on team roster: provides insurance coverage for injuries during league play, subscription to USA Hockey official magazine, and opportunity to participate in USA Hockey-sponsored tournaments at all levels.
  • Certified referees (from SHOA) for each game.
  • Scorekeepers provided for each game.
  • League Commissioner present at all league functions.
  • Commemorative pucks for each member of the winning team in each division.
  • Competitive, but fun play at all levels. A great way to improve your hockey skills.
